Educational Opportunities |
Education is provided to all participating coalitions and clinic sites through inservices, mailing updates, the PA-BCERF listserv, and the PA-BCERF website. Inservices are offered 3 - 4 times annually and are designed according to identified needs. Needs for training and technical assistance are assessed through the PA-BCERF Technical Assistance Committee, questions posted on PA-BCERF listserv, and formal and informal feedback from participating coalitions and clinic sites. Inservices are developed to enhance the skills for program planning on breast cancer and potential environmental risk factors for breast cancer. Topics include research findings related to breast cancer and environmental risk, methodologies for educating the public on breast cancer risk, and potential strategies for reducing exposure to potential environmental risks of breast cancer.
